कहानियां जरा देर से आएंगी, 

अभी इतिहासों का दौर है ।।

The stories will come a little late,

Now is the time of history.

मेरे गमों का मैं अकेला ही साथी हूं ।

यार तो सारे मेरे...

महफिलों के लिए हैं ।।

I am the only companion of my sorrows.

Friend, all mine...

It's for parties.

देख आज फिर उदास कर दिया तेरे अंदाज ने,

एक हंसता हुआ चेहरा ।।

Look, today again your style has made me sad.

A laughing face.

दे  दी  रिहाई मैने,  उसे मेरे इश्क से !

 उस पर पाबंदियां लगानी छोड़ दी मैंने ।

अब नया शहर होगा, नया इश्क होगा , नए ढंग से...

कोई पूछे तो कह देना की आदतें सारी पुरानी छोड़ दी मैंने।।

I gave him freedom from my love!

 I stopped putting restrictions on him.

Now there will be a new city, there will be a new love, in a new way...

If someone asks, tell me that I have left all the old habits.

अपने दिल से तेरी सारी निशानी मिटा रहा हूं।

नए साल में यादें पुरानी मिटा रहा हूं ।।

ये  शायरी तो सिर्फ एक जरिया है, किस तरह की 

है बर्बाद, जवानी बता रहा हूं।।

I am erasing all traces of you from my heart.

Erasing old memories in the new year.

This poetry is just a means, what kind

It is ruined, I am telling youth.

तेरी आदतों से नाराजगी है मेरी जान....

वरना फिकर तो इतनी है कि पलकों पर बिठाते ।।

I am angry with your habits, my love.

Otherwise the worry is so much that it would have made it sit on the eyelids.
